Once again this year, larger than normal runs of Sockeye Salmon are expected for the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers this 2013 in the first run of Sockeye Salmon in June and second run in July. This not only means a tremendous number of Sockeye Salmon in the Kenai River, but a healthy Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden fishery later on in August, September and October with the huge spawn expected from the Sockeye Salmon spawning migration into the Kenai Watershed. Our personalized lodge, The Pinewood Inn, is perfect for accommodating individuals, couples, small groups, families, individuals of all skill levels of fly fishing.
We have spacious sleeping accommodations with four separate bedrooms, six quality comfort beds ranging from extra long twin beds to a King sized Bed in the Lodge. Our living area is over 2,000 square feet in our lodge area with WiFi and satilite TV. On our property we have a very nicely furnished very private two bedroom cottage cabin with everything you would need from cook ware, dishes-everything you would need to cook and eat your own meals, covered deck with BBQ to a freezer to keep your salmon frozen. If the cottage cabin is what you are looking for, for an additional $50.00 per day, if available, it's yours!

Alaska's Fly Fishing Adventures provides delicious nutritional "Home Style" cooked Alaskan meals for all our guests (we can provide special diet meals) and we provide healthy snacks each day, 24 hrs a day for everyone. Lunches are provided for our fisherman either shore side cooked or bagged lunches depending on where you are fishing that day.
We like to work with one group in the lodge at a time so that you feel like you have the entire lodge to yourself. Our guides work with no more than two fly fisherman per guide unless you are a group of three.
Our Beautifully landscaped property is secluded in a large wooded area just off the road system with outside fire ring to enjoy and a covered BBQ deck area for just relaxing or hanging out. There are trails around our property should you decide to go for close walks and mountain trails for longer hikes very near by. We are located in a quiet secluded wooded area not far from the famous Kenai River and a convenient 6 miles north of the small town of Soldotna. You may rent a car in Anchorage and drive to our lodge via the scenic Seward Highway or fly into Kenai, 12 miles west of our lodge in Sterling where you can reserve a rent a car in Kenai. You can also arrange to have us pick you up and take you back to the airport in Kenai Only, if you choose not to rent a car.

Our busy fly fishing season begins in March and runs through April for early Rainbow/Steelhead fly fishing. Our Salmon, Northern Pike and Grayling season begins in late May and runs through September. Rainbow Trout/Dolly Varden season begins second week in June. The most productive time to be here depends on what species you wish to fly fish more. Salmon fly fishing is best during mid June through early September. Our late Trout season runs from mid August through October. The Wild Alaskan Rainbow and Dolly Varden season so many people are looking for is prime during the summer months and increases as salmon begin to spawn in late June, late July and continues through October.
The most popular peak tourist season is the month of July. Summer temperatures, peak run of Sockeye and King Salmon, the beautiful natural floral bloom occur during this time of our short summer season.
We offer daily rates as well as 2, 3, and 5 day packages for greater savings. We are pleased to offer discounts for groups of four or more at 10% and a greater discount for 6 or more at 15%. Active Military discounts are 15%, Veterans 10%.
